Harvest error is a basic level check for getting the authenticity of the data. It filters most of the Foreign ID’s, Invalid Id’s, Spam- traps, Group Ids, parked domains / Id’s. etc.
Harvest check happens when client uploads it’s users in Smartech , our algorithm checks each and every email id which is getting uploaded is spam proof or not.
While checking harvest not only email id but reputation of domain also get measured and if it reached to a particular threshold our algorithm mark that upload as harvest error.
Harvest prone email ids could be like : abuse@gmail.com,swapniiil@yahoo.com etc.
Sending emails to such email ids will hamper your domain reputation and may affect inbox delivery.
As per best email marketing practices, below are our recommendations:
1. Upload Email ID's who have opted-in to receive communication from your brand
2. Do not use purchased or referral databases
3. Remove bounced email ids from your list.
4. If you are already using any other vendors to send emails, please migrate the old blacklisted/bounced/unsubscribed users to your account.
